We are planning a night out for club members and their partner but not a solely couples evening in Brighton.
Date for Diary Friday 20th November 2026 !
Details and more info to follow nearer the time but as an overview.
I will book a room in the Prince Albert Pub (Near the station) for anyone who wants to have a drink and socialise prior to the meal,Follwing that I will book at Pinocchio’s Italian restaurant in Brighton lanes for the Set Menu.

THIS IS JUST A HEADS UP no need to do anything. We will issue more info later on in the year

BH&DMC Pizza, Beer & Skittles Evening

INVITATION TO THE BH&DMCC PIZZA, BEER & SKITTLES EVENING

At the Bull Inn, Henfield

7.00pm for 7.30pm to finish by 11.00pm

Its that time of year, The club is organising a skittle night at the Bull, Henfield, There will be a pizza buffet, which normally goes down very well.

olives

Partners & Guest are welcome to join you on the skittles evening. Members will get priority booking.

Tribute to Reg Clark, 4th January 1955 – 26th March 2026

Some of you may remember Reg Clark who supported the bike club a few years ago. Reg enjoyed his adventures with the club and as a result, won biker of the year as a reward for his commitment.

We have now changed our meet day to Mondays, for the 2026 riding season our regularly meet night will be Mondays, We will be meeting at at 7.00pm to depart at 7:30pm from the current Meet location of Morrisons Daily – Wivelsfield, Ditchling Rd, Wivelsfield, Haywards Heath RH17 7RF

For the 2026 riding season we would like you to indicate your preferred day.

We changed our regular day due to many venues closing early or not open on Mondays. We have tried this and now want to give you the members the choice on which day. Additionally to the vote you can suggest locations to ride to and socialise at.

The Poll will close on the 25th November 2 days before our AGM.

The Poll is now closed results with be published at the AGM.

Your location suggestion

Historically we have chosen Pubs to ride to, We normally try to find locations through the year that are typically around no more than 15-20 miles away from Burgess Hill, we then plan routes for around 1hrs ride. We also take into account the direction of travel throughout the year to avoid riding into the sun. Please do add your suggestion of locations for Monday or Wednesday night ride outs.

BBQ 2022

Club BBQ - 20th July 2022 - 7PM

This years BBQ will be held on the 20th July, starting at 7pm, at Beacon Bikes, London Rd, Hassocks BN6 9BQ.

We hope many of you can join us for the club BBQ, its been quite a while since the last one. This year the BBQ will be provided by Tim and his team at Beacon Bikes, just outside Aldbourne. Direction below.

The cost for the BBQ will be £15.00 per person, The club will be subsidising the cost for members by £5.00 bringing the cost to you to just £10.00. Please do let us know you can attend by filling in the form below and making a bacs payment (with your payment ref) to confirm your place.

Partners are more than welcome to join the BBQ evening at a cost of £15.00.

To help us gauge the food requirements please indicate which option you prefer, There should be plenty to go around.

The BBQ Options

Freshly grilled food from the BBQ.

Quarter pound Burgers and German Bratwurst with various toppings.

Home made regular and spicy coleslaw.

And an assortment of home made cake for desert.

Where is Beacon Bikes?

London Rd, Hassocks BN6 9BQ

Beacon Bikes is located, South of Aldbourne, After you turn into the drive to Q-leisure. There is a car park at the end of the drive.

Look to your left, and you will see a sign for Beacon Bikes, Its just up a little path next to the car park.

Tim will be making available his range of E-bikes for anyone to test out in the area next to where we will be eating so feel free to take a little test ride.

BHDMC Club Tour Sept 2020

The main club holiday in 2020 will be to the Spanish Pyrenees

It’s a long way off but this is just so that I can get an idea of how many people are interested so that I can have an idea of numbers for the hotel.

We are planning to go at the beginning of September 2020, probably week commencing the 5th, final date will be dependent on ferry crossings.

Brittany ferries will release dates and prices at the start July 2019.

I am planning a ten day stay in the Pyrenees. People are free to join us for part of the trip or extend their holiday if they wish. Barcelona is 172 miles from where we are staying.

The plan is to stay in the town of Ainsa, and stay at the Hotel Dos Rios.

I have stayed there about six or seven times on previous bike holidays. As a guide the Sept 2019 prices are £49 per night for a single or twin/double room. There is a secure underground car park for motorcycles at no additional charge.

Some people I have spoken to intend to ride all the way down, or get the ferry part way down France and ride the rest, I have used the ferry to Spain several times and I believe this to be a good option, as a guide the 2019 prices are bike and rider out Â£99-Â£146 and return Â£95-Â£167 depending on date and crossing. And cabins out 1-2 person Â£102-290 1-4 person Â£134-150 return 1-2 person Â£85-Â£265 1-4 person Â£115-130, the large price differences in the 1-2 person cabins reflects the different comfort levels available.

The ferry goes from Portsmouth to either Bilbao or Santander but these are only 65 miles apart, Bilbao is 212 miles from the hotel taking a nice route.

I am happy to reserve the hotel on your behalf. You will need to book your own crossings, any questions please ask.

This is not a guided tour however I lead some rides during the stay
